Legal Disclaimer

Clear boundaries, transparent expectations, and what you need to know before working with us.

Last Updated: December 2025

This disclaimer is here to set clear expectations about what Your New Life in Spain (YNLIS) does—and doesn't do. We believe in transparency, honesty, and making sure you understand the scope of our services before you book anything.

What We Provide

Your New Life in Spain offers relocation coaching, guidance, and support services designed to help individuals and families navigate the process of moving to Spain.

Our services include:

  • One-on-one strategy calls and coaching sessions
  • Location analysis and personalized area recommendations
  • Relocation planning, roadmap creation, and decision support
  • Referrals to trusted immigration lawyers, tax advisors, and other professionals
  • Community access and peer support
  • Immersive experiences (retreats, reality checks, and in-person sessions)

What We Do NOT Provide

We are NOT immigration lawyers, tax advisors, accountants, or legal professionals.

We do not:

  • Provide legal advice on visas, residency, or immigration applications
  • Offer tax advice or accountancy services
  • Complete visa applications, legal paperwork, or official documents on your behalf
  • Guarantee visa approval, residency outcomes, or relocation success
  • Act as your legal representative in any official capacity

If you need legal or tax advice, we will refer you to qualified professionals. Our role is to help you understand what questions to ask, which professionals to work with, and how to navigate the process—but we cannot replace licensed legal or tax experts.

No Guarantees

We cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

Every relocation is unique. Visa approvals, location suitability, and personal circumstances vary widely. While we provide guidance based on experience and research, we cannot guarantee:

  • Visa or residency approval
  • That a recommended location will be "perfect" for you
  • That your relocation will go exactly as planned
  • That you will love living in Spain

Our goal is to help you make informed decisions with clarity and confidence—not to make promises we can't keep.

Your Responsibility

You are ultimately responsible for your own decisions.

While we provide support, guidance, and recommendations, you are responsible for:

  • Verifying all information with official sources (embassies, government websites, legal professionals)
  • Making final decisions about visas, locations, housing, and timing
  • Hiring qualified professionals (immigration lawyers, tax advisors, etc.) when needed
  • Conducting your own due diligence on any advice or recommendations provided
  • Understanding that immigration rules, tax laws, and policies change—and staying informed

We're here to guide you, not to make decisions for you.

Referrals & Third-Party Services

We may refer you to trusted immigration lawyers, tax advisors, property agents, and other professionals based in Spain.

Important: We are not responsible for the services, advice, or outcomes provided by third-party professionals. While we vet our referrals carefully, you are responsible for evaluating and engaging with these professionals independently.

We do not receive commissions or kickbacks for referrals unless explicitly disclosed.

Information Accuracy & Updates

We strive to provide accurate, up-to-date information based on current immigration rules, tax laws, and lived experience. However:

  • Immigration and tax laws change frequently
  • Local regulations vary by region and municipality
  • Government policies can shift without warning

You are responsible for verifying all information with official sources and qualified professionals.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Your New Life in Spain and its representatives are not liable for:

  • Visa denials or immigration complications
  • Financial losses related to relocation decisions
  • Unsuccessful relocations or dissatisfaction with chosen locations
  • Actions or advice provided by third-party professionals
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question.

No Refunds Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds once a service has been purchased.

However, if there is a genuine issue with service delivery or a significant problem, please contact us and we'll work with you to find a fair resolution.

Rescheduling calls or sessions is permitted with advance notice.

The Bottom Line

We're here to provide honest, grounded support—not to make promises we can't keep or pretend we're something we're not.

Our role is to help you navigate the process with clarity and confidence, connect you with trusted professionals when needed, and support you through the emotional and logistical challenges of relocating internationally.

We genuinely care about helping you build a life you love in Spain. But we also believe in transparency, clear boundaries, and making sure you understand exactly what you're getting (and not getting) when you work with us.
